| This year's Miss World contest was held in London, 7 December. The actual contest was to be held in Nigeria but had to be moved. This was due to the 220 deaths in Nigeria because of a newspaper article that had suggested that the Islam founder prophet ,Mohammed would have married a Miss World contestant. |
