>> Ben: Yeah. Yeah.
>> Ben: Yeah. Yeah. Word travels fast around here. As fast as this did.
>> Frat boy: You bet $5,000 that you could "de-virginize" Marah Lewis. Dude, that's awesome. ( Laughs )
>> Ben: Hey, man, see you later.
>> Frat boy: All right, take it easy.
>> Ben: Excuse me. You're Marah Lewis.

[Commercial.]

>> Marah: Let me guess: You read my essay and you're here to give the famous virgin some grief.
>> Ben: Well, you're half-right. I did read it. But I think the editorial in the paper was right on. It did take guts to write that piece. Seriously.
>> Marah: Oh. Well, thank you.
>> Ben: You... You don't recognize me, do you?
>> Marah: Oh, my God. You're Holly's stepson, Ben. Ben Reade? Wow. God, the last time I saw you was...
>> Ben: You were six and you'd just fallen off your bike and skinned your knees.
>> Marah: Yeah. I remember that. And you and Bill were laughing at me.
>> Ben: Well, your knees are obviously better.
>> Marah: Yeah, but I still can't ride a bike. So, where have you been?
>> Ben: Oh, gosh, all over. I just came back to get my degree. How's your family? Reva, Josh, and... Shayne.
>> Marah: They're okay.
>> Ben: You got any pictures of them, or...
>> Marah: I do. There. That was a couple of years ago. Mom and dad are divorced now.
>> Ben: I'm sorry to hear that.
>> Marah: So, have you stayed in touch with Bill?
>> Ben: Actually, I saw him in Europe not that long ago when I was there to visit my dad and my little sister. He was with his new girlfriend.
>> Marah: Pilar.
>> Ben: Yeah, yeah. Nice girl. But I was surprised; I always thought he and Michelle would get together. Bill and I both had major crushes on Michelle, but she liked Bill. At least then. How's she doing?
>> Marah: Well, you missed out. She's married and she's got a gorgeous little boy.
>> Ben: Well, another woman who got away. But they're not all spoken for. Or am I wrong?
>> Marah: Didn't I hear about you coming into some sort of trust fund?
>> Ben: Yeah.
>> Marah: Isn't it, like, a big enough trust fund to buy your own football team?
>> Ben: ( Laughs ) Well, if it were up to old Fletch, I wouldn't have enough cash to buy a pack of gum. But, as it turns out, I've got enough working capital to spring for a couple of cups of coffee. How about it? There are probably a lot more bike accidents to catch up on.
>> Marah: Maybe some other time, but I've really got to go study for class. Bye.
>> Ben: Hey, see you. Yeah. Yeah, we'll definitely get together.

>> Ben: Hey, I'm looking for Marah Lewis.
>> Catalina: She is not here.
>> Ben: This is her room, though, right?
>> Catalina: Yeah. But I don't know when she's going to be back, if that's your next question.
>> Ben: I found her book. I just figured she'd need it.
>> Catalina: Okay. Why don't you just leave it on her desk?
>> Ben: Great girl, Marah. At least I think she is. I've known her since we were kids, and I've had kind of a thing for her ever since.
>> Catalina: Really? A "thing." Have you told her?
>> Ben: No, no way. I've never told her and I never would.
>> Catalina: Well, you like her a lot, though. I really think that you should tell her. Marah likes it when guys tell her how they feel. And you know, she... She really needs someone right now. So I say... I say "go for it."
>> Ben: Can I ask you a question, um...
>> Catalina: Catalina.
>> Ben: Catalina, yeah. How come you're such a booster for your roommate's social life if you can't stand her?
>> Catalina: That's weird. I didn't say that.
>> Ben: No, no. I mean, not in so many words but, I mean, it's true, right?
>> Catalina: Maybe.
>> Ben: Then I don't get why you're so up for me asking Marah out or whatever, unless there's some pay-off in it for you.
