It's Not True!

I don't believe it. I can't believe it. There is no way of him being right. It can't be. It just cannot be so. My lives work, my whole life, the countless lives of others. It just cannot be.
I will never believe that. The prophecy is TRUE! It has to be.
As I sit here on the mess of the Hammer I cannot help but think of him, his laughing eyes and trusting spirit. I feel myself returning back in time, to my memories... memories of him. He trusted me from the very beginning. He helped me in so many ways I can't possibly explain.
And I... If it all were just a pack of lies. Then he... He died for nothing. I killed him for nothing. It was all in vain. NO! The Prophecy must be true! There is no other way. The will never be another way.
I will not have his love be in vain. I will not destroy his memory by believing something that cannot be true. Neo IS The One! And he will fulfil his destiny. It will just not go exactly like the prophecy says it will.
I will not have his life to have been sacrificed in vain. That I promise you... Tank... That I promise you...
