Change
By: Simon Erif (c)

I find myself laughing as I sit here watching the world as the humans call it passing me by. I see no world as they describe it but bytes and information flashing to that direction and the other, one program after another. If I wanted to I could see the matrix as the beings that live in it see it. But I like it this way.

No colours or smells or lights just information, programs like me. Nothing's alive in here except for those beings that this place was created for. Everything else is just bytes and data and programs running the place and protecting it. Like I once was.

Now I can think on my own; I am no longer part of the collective. I have become like the other say an abnormality. I do not belong anymore. I was destroyed but not deleted. I was remade but not changed completely. I became... A new man...

I am not what I was, but I am not far from it either. I have new abilities just like I have some of the old ones too. I can dream, I can sleep, I have developed certain emotions. But I am still a program just remade and changed.

All this because of one man... One man I hate and love just the same. One man that I wish to fall above all others. One man.

How curious... That only one man can create such change when it was thought impossible...

And I laugh not really caring who sees or hears... only hoping that he might...
