With the 1989 release of 'Bleach', Nirvana, then just front man Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic, was on its way to unimaginable success. Soon after the albums release, Cobain found Dave Grohl, now with the Foo Fighters, and began to work on their second album, 'Nevermind'. 'Nevermind' [released in 1991] was an instant hit with the release of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', the first single off the album. The next nirvana album was 'Incesticide'. This was followed by 'In Utero'. Later on, the band preformed for on MTV's 'Unplugged'. This became a memorable trademark for the band because of the incredibly emotional concert they played. April 5 of 1994, 1 month after Cobain left the hospital [he fell into a coma], he committed suicide and the remainder of the band split up. Albums of their greatest hits and live performances are still being released. They now have over 10 albums.
