Richard Harris who played Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter
films Chamber of Secrets and Philosophers stone, has sadly died aged 72 on the
25th November 2002.
He had been in hospital for 2 months before the actor died of Hodgkin’s
disease, a type of lymphatic cancer.
The casting crew of Harry Potter had expected Richard to be well enough to work
on the third Harry Potter film, Prisoner of Azkaban, though unfortunately he is
unable to work on this film now he has sadly died.
