1 pound stew beef
Brown the beef then simmer for 1 hour 30 minutes or until meat is
tender in 8 cups of water
Add:
½ pound green beans
3 carrots
1 celery stock (about ½ cup)
1 whole onion
1 bay leaf
2 potatoes (red or white potatoes are firmer when cooked)
Simmer until vegetable are done, about 30 minutes
Drain juice in small saucepan
Thicken juice with 3 tablespoon flour and ½ cup water mixture,
shake in jar to mix, then take out any lumps, simmer in juice for
3 minutes. Add back to pot of stew.
Add 1 can of corn if you like corn.
Ready to serve
