1 lb dried beans (lima beans, navy beans, Christmas beans, ect.)
Soak over night in 8 cups of water
Drain water when ready to cook
Add 8 cups of water
2 celery stems
1 onion
Ham pieces or ham hock
2 graded carrots
Simmer for 2 ½ hours or until done, add more water if needed
to keep the beans covered while cooking.
Add 1 or 2 chicken bouillon cubes
Ready to serve
