Shots are also very important in taking care of a cat (go to the nearest vet and they will tell you what shots you need to get for your cat). But, when you are thinking about buying your cat should you get a long haired or short haired cat and should it be indoor or outdoor? There are different advantages and disadvantages for each one. An outdoor cat will be more independent and an indoor cat will become almost dog-like in his responses to you. Your best bet in selecting your ideal cat is to simply pick one that you like the look of and gradually let him/her into your household routine. Once you decide on a breed and color, you want to choose a name that best suits you!! Have fun with it and make it just, plain YOU!! Get a cat that fits you, your lifestyle, and your family needs.
