Hello, I'm Dobby the House Elf.
I want to tell you about a few of my friends. First off is J. K. Rowling she gave me life in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. With the will to be free. Then there is Harry Potter himself. I tried to warn Harry not to return to Hogwarts. For if he returns he will be in mortal danger. He would not listen so for his own good I dropped a pudding on a woman. He still tried to goto school even after I closed the gate to the train. I then followed him to Hogwarts to make sure he was safe and to try to get him to go home. I hated to do it but for his own good I again did something I would have to punish myself later for doing. I made a bludger go after him. I figured if he got hurt he would have to return home where he would be safe.
When Dobby next saw Harry Potter Dobby was in Professor Dumbledore's office(great man he is) My master was ferious that Dumbledore had returned to Hogwarts. When my master asked who had opened the Chamber Dumbledore told him the same person as last time. This time He-who-must-not-be-named was acting through someone else this time with his old diary. I kept looking at it and then at Harry Potter tring to get him to know it was my master's (bad Dobby must not talk bast about master) Harry Potter followed us as we left Dumbledore's office to give the diary back to my master. He is not afraid of master and told him he knew it was him who put the diary in Genny Weasley's pot back in Flourish and Blotts. Master took the diary and took off the sock and tossed it and Dobby cought it. Master has presented clothes, Dobby is free! Upset that Harry Potter cost master his house elf he was going to try and hurt him. You must not hurt Harry Potter Dobby says to master. Dobby stopped master and thanked Harry Potter for freeing Dobby. Harry Potter told me it was the least he could do and made Dobby promise to never try and save his life again. Harry Potter is greater by far the Dobby knew.
