I love all forms of ceramics and pottery, and have worked in this media for almost thirty years. I sculpt, build forms by hand, and create pottery on the wheel. My favorite forms of pottery are those that have unexpected results. Pitfire and Raku pottery are two of the methods I love to pursue. Both involve a more primitive and direct approach to surface decoration. By combining natural elements like seaweed, woodchips, and salts, the resulting finishes can be very striking in appearance. Please have a look around, and thanks for visiting.
