As One enters this Home They will notice The plaque on the wall with the blue stone mounted on it. This is the Home Stone. It was given in love to the woman Satin Rayne long ago by the man Trace of Majik as a symbol of His love to Her. This stone now is the symbol, the heart of the Home, for the Family who live and love here. Trace of Majik and His love created this family, and this family Honours His memory now and forever with the Stone He gave to His beloved to become Their Home Stone.

And now comes the story of the stone...

There were troubled times, with troubled hearts. A couple deeply in love had become lost to each other, and didn't know how to find each other again. One thought it would ease the other's pain to leave the home, and so was making way to say goodbye. And as the story has been told many times before it will be told again here.

Satin Rayne who was very upset that day went running out the side door of the Inn and headed down to the springs. She couldn't take the pain in Her heart and felt that She couldn't keep on going like She was anymore. When She got to the springs She sat beside the water and let Her hot tears flow.

Her light brown hawk took flight from the roof of the Inn flew off after Her and lit on the rocks by the water and watched Rayne.

The great Ubar to the Inn walked over to the Sword Wall and removed His Black Cloak and Sliver Daggers, and then walked out the side door and headed toward the waters edge.

At the waters edge Rayne held out Her arm and Her hawk flew over and landed on it and slowly looked Her up and down as She took Her sword off and laid it next to Her on the ground, closed Her eyes and breathed slowly and deeply.

As the Ubar of the Inn left, Trace of Majik pushed Himself away from the wall He was leaning against and walked to the side door and went outside. Once outside He walked over to the side of the Inn and leaned against the wall in the darkness of the shadows and sighed heavily.

It is said that the Ubar walked in the shadows to the waters edge and watched Rayne and the hawk while listening to the foot steps from the other side of the Inn.

And Rayne heard His footsteps as He approached and the hair on the back of Her neck stood up

The Ubar walked over to Rayne and once got to Her the hawk flew up and landed on His shoulder. With the hawk's movement She was startled and turned quickly to face Her Ubar, and standing next to Her He began to speak...

"Rayne Please listen I am here to help You. I told You once that I would not let You out of My sight."

Over in the shadows by the Inn Trace pushed Himself away from the wall and started walking north. His head was down and He was listening to the sounds of the night and just walking along. He could smell rain in the air, and knew it would be there by morning. To the left of Him was the old tree He knew so well, and He didn't even look as He passed it. After walking a few more steps He stopped suddenly and looked back at the tree and recalled that the day before there were the three branches but on that day there were just two.

Rayne watched Her Ubar and then with a sad sigh She closed Her eyes again and listened to His words. She turned away from Him but was still listening to what He was saying to Her. As She turned, Her Ubar grabbed Her and turning Her to Him held Her for a second and looked in to Her eyes, and then He moved His right hand over Her back and up to Her Neck. She was listening to His soothing words, taking deep even breaths and was comforted by what He had said and She didn't notice when He slowly rose His silver dagger and smacked it across Her neck and hearing Her gasp watched Her start to pass out. As She fell limp in His arms Her Ubar whispered to Her that He was sorry, and then went on to say that what He did would not kill Her, only knock Her out for a while and that She needed to rest a bit. Picking Rayne up gently in His arms the Ubar turned and walked back to the Inn.

Back in the Inn the Ubar's Lady waited in sad silence as She must have known something of great seriousness was happening to the Family and tears began to silently fall.

Trace walked on a bit further, and as He went He felt a tingling sensation at the back of His neck as He has just a little while before, and a distracted puzzled expression came to Him for the first time since He started walking. His brow arched as He realized that this had to do with His Rayne and He wondered what was happening with Her.

The Ubar walked back to the Inn and went inside and laid Rayne gently on the floor and went about building a very big fire, and as He was doing that asked His Lady if She could continue with the fire as He had to mix some herbs. The Lady went to the wood pile and got logs to add to the fire making it higher and more intense.

As the Ubar removed brown and green herbs from His cloak and started to smash them up, Trace was listening to the screeeeeee of a hawk in the sky, and knowing that it was His Rayne's hawk He swiftly turned on His heels and headed back to the Inn at a fast walk. He walked along, His head down concentrating on Her heartbeat. As He moved along something glittered on the ground as He walked past and He for whatever reason, even while knowing He should hurry Home, stopped and focus on whatever it was that had caught His eye. Then squatting down He reached and picked it up. An odd blue stone of some kind. Not knowing what it was He kept it with the idea to show it to His beloved Ubar. As He rose He felt Her heartbeat change somewhat and quicken His pace.

The herbs the Ubar mixed was a Louts flower and it's roots. It was a sleeping mix, very deadly in larger amounts but in small one it was used to cause long sleep. He mixed it with wine and placed in to the fire while His Lady watched Him closely before He instructed Her to make a set of furs ready because Rayne would perspire alot and mostly likely have a reaction to the potion as He knew that E/everyone had in the past, and His Lady hurried to do as He instructed. She rose and walked over to the spare furs and picked them up and carried them to where Rayne was sleeping.

The story goes to say that Trace got back to the Inn again and was puzzled to see on the ground the footprints. He had known that Rayne had left alone, but what He saw were two sets of prints heading down to the springs, and only one set coming back. The set coming back was deeper and a larger size than that of Rayne's foot. After looking at the prints for a moment longer He stepped to the Inn side entrance and pulled open the door and stepped inside and stopped dead in His tracks and stared into the the main room and was too stunned by what He saw to move for a full minute. Then He did step closer and called out questioningly to the Lady.

The Ubar was by the fire watching the mix begin to boil, and then He removed it from the fire to allow it time to cool, then placed a small amount of the mix into a goblet and then moved to Rayne and poured it into Her Mouth. The drink flows down Her throat and She fell in to a deeper sleep and Her breath began to grow shallow.

The lady told Trace that it was okay and that He needed to wait and be still. Confusion and worry plain on His features He moved in closer demanding to know what was going on and what had happened to His Rayne. And the Lady looked to Her Ubar and Mate and the Ubar spoke.

"Trace be still or She dies Here and Now" is what the People have said that the Ubar said to Him. There is no doubt that a look of panic must have come to Trace's face as He watched His beloved Ubar with the woman that He loved and listened as Her breathing begin to relax and then return to normal. And all He could probably hear at that moment in time was His own heartbeat.

His Ubar assured Him that She was going to be fine, and the Lady looked at Trace and instructed Him that if He still loved Her He needed to be still. And as if from a far away place He could hear His Ubar telling Him that Rayne was in a state of deep rest, and that He would give Trace the cure when He was ready for it, but not until. He said that no one else but Himself could offer it to Trace.

Trace who was very upset but still very stubborn demanded to know what was going on. He didn't know if somehow She had gotten sick from something or what was happening. He strongly demanded to know what was happening, had asked if something had happened by the water and was getting frustrated and more demanding by the minute determined to find out why She was in the condition She was. And in His frustration which was turning to anger He watched as His Ubar bent down and picked up His Raynes body and placed it on the furs and then placed a small dragon necklace on Her body.

"Trace I mean what I say" the Ubar said and Trace looked to the Lady dazed, and then His jaw clenched and He glared at His Beloved Ubar.

In a soft voice the Lady told Him that They were trying to help both He and Rayne. His Ubar's words hit Him like a blow to His chest. "I care for You both. Now You both must become one, or both will die inside as well as She will die for real." The shock of understanding and the rage building inside Him made Trace's heart race and and a queazy feeling come instantly to His stomach, and His Ubar apologized and simply said that this had to be done.

"Trace do You love Her?" the Lady asked and Trace was even more shocked than ever. He couldn't believe that anyone would question that, and with a sad defeated look He asked how long She would have to stay like She was. And the Lady demanded an answer, did He love her? With that questioned again He yelled out to Her and His Ubar that yes He did in fact love her and with exasperation in His voice He wanted to know how long She was going to have to stay in what He preceived as a dead type condition. And the words that came to Him from His Ubar He did not understand at first. She would have to stay like that until He was ready to learn to heal Her, mind, body, and soul, and His Ubar informed Him that She was not dead, that She was in fact only sleeping.

At this point Trace became frustrated and felt helpless and wondered just what He could possibly do to help Her, and His Ubar told Him to relax and told Him that if He got very close He would be able to hear Her heart beating. And a bit disgusted that no one was quite getting the love He had for Her He informed Them both that He didn't need to get close to hear Her heart beating as He could already feel it from where He was.

"Learn to relax, and then learn how to love." the great Ubar said to Him and instructed Him to sit and calm Himself, and that is where it is said that Trace the strong Man that He was started to sob like a lost child, and the Lady's words soft as they were were almost lost in His sorrow. "Trace, She loves You but this is a time that She has to heal also."

Looking up at His beloved Ubar with the most serious of expressions on His face Trace said words to His Ubar that were very brave and very true. He told this great Ubar that He loved Him but would never forgive Him if something happens to Rayne. Abd hearing that it is said that the Lady smiled knowing that this was a start in the process, and the Ubar nodded and said that He understood.

Shaking His head and sighing as He resigned to all that was happening, and thinking to Himself why it was that People wondered why He got so angry about things He didn't understand, His Ubar told Him that the woman He loved could be awoken in a matter of a hour when it was the right time, and with that said He wondered what the hell He was supposed to do with Her in the forever sleep.

His Ubar wanted Him to learn to focus and He told Him to stare into the fire and let all else go from His mind except for Rayne, and so Trace sat focusing on the flames, and He was to say to Others later that He had hoped that His eyes would burn out or that He would go insane or something of the like to end His torment as He struggled to find His inner peace. As He sat there He felt HER heartbeat with His, and knew His beat much faster in his anxiety. As He sat and listened to the sound of His breathing He could hear His Ubar coaxing Him along and He watched the flames dance thinking about the insanity of the situation and trying to keep with the focus on His breathing.

The Ubar went and sat with Trace for comfort and as an additional aid in helping Him to relax, and looked to Him and nodded, resigning Himself to the task at hand. He then closed his eyes and focused on the little faerie He loved.

And so it began.

Trace needed to clear His mind of all things. Another tear tried to escape because He didn't think He could not think of Her. The very first thing He needed to do was clear His mind of all things, and another tear came and this one did escape and ran down His cheek. He was instructed to think of nothing except the sounds of the fire and the water outside. Help Me He whispered to His beloved Ubar and heard the great Man's voice promising that He was going to help and telling Him that She would come to Him in time. Trace was afraid that He wouldn't be able to save Her, He was afraid that She wouldn't feel how much He truly loved Her and that she would perish because His love wasn't strong enough to save Her.

The Ubar assured Trace that She would not die. He would mix a Cure for this deep sleep and give it to Trace to give to her later if needed. Trace took a long deep breath a little more relaxed knowing that there could be a cure if He were to fail.

The great Ubar told Him to find a spot on the wall of the fire place and do nothing expect look at it and while He did that He was to let all of His worries, all His doubt and all His pain leave His body. He needed to only think of the happiness in His Life and the pleasures of the life He had with Rayne.

Sitting there focusing on all that was good with His life with His Rayne He began to relax more and His hands relaxed enough to loosen from the clenched fists that they were in, and the forgotten stone held so tightly just moments ago slipped from His hand and fell to the floor unnoticed as He stared at an ebony mark on the wall.

He began to call to Her with His mind and soul as a slow feeling of peace started to edge its way into Him and calm Him. He thought about how She had always known what He was thinking, and He wanted Her to know it at that moment. 'Come to Me' He thought to Her and heard His Ubar quietly telling Him to relax because it would take time, and then He said that He was not sure Trace would be able to do this in one night, that it would take some time. But He promised it would come and so Trace tried to stay focused even with so much thought of the 'what if' kept coming to His mind. He needed to forget the doubt and focus on what He wanted with Rayne because then the true peace would follow.

'Feel Me, know Me, Love Me, smile for Me, laugh for Me, come to Me.' He thought to Her as He slowly inhaled and then exhaled just as slowly feeling the warmth of the fire.

'Summer rain and her smile, the smell of her hair, her eyes looking at me'. He tried to reach out with His mind and ask Her to wake up and join Him by His side as He heard His Ubar tell Him to do. He felt the heat of the fire warm His body. 'Rayne My Pet, love Me' He thought and sighed feeling His focus getting fogged and He forced Himself to refocus on what He wanted, and let the pains of His love guide Him.

'Feel Me, I am there too little girl, Come on, bring it home.'

'SATIN RAYNE'

'I Love You'

'Come back to Me' He thought to Her taking deep breaths and feeling Her heartbeat, knowing She was not yet lost to Him. He thought of spring as it was and knew He wanted to share it with only Her.

The sound of His Ubar's voice brought Him back. "Do You mean it with all of Your heart? If You do then You must be willing to pay the price of love and take Her place so She can live." Trace swore that He would do anything to have Her alive again, awake or whatever it was that was out of the state that She was in at that moment, and He was told to tell Her that He was willing to try to be Her friend as well as Her Love and He was confused because He thought that She already knew that.

"What say You?" asked the Ubar, "Do want to take Her place, are You willing to give Your life for Hers?"

Of course He was. He missed Her. He wanted Her to be His friend was all He really wanted. So They could laugh together again. He would die for Her, yes. His Ubar told Him to move over to Her body, to look on to Her and tell Her how He felt, and He did. He moved over across the floor looking at Her in the forever sleep with tears rolling down His cheeks and it is said that He began to speak.

'My Rayne I miss You, and I want You to come Home.' And They all heard a soft moan and Rayne started to stir. 'I want to irritate You, and make You laugh again. I just want to be happy with You.' As He watched Her, She started to shake and Her moans were a little louder and then She tried to open Her eyes.

The great Ubar moved over and held the goblet with the mix in it and looked at Trace. 'I will give up a year of My life just to hear You laugh for a month.'

From what has been told it is said that the Ubar then asked Trace if He was ready to give His life For Her's and He said He would if She would be happy and at peace with Herself and Rayne sighed softly and stirred more and Her eyes fluttered open. It was then that Trace remembered the stone, knowing at that moment why that stone had caught His attention. She needed to have the stone.

As They watched Rayne looked around dazed and confused, and She reached up and began rubbing Her neck, grimacing because for some reason She didn't know it hurt so much. Then another moan escaped Her and Her hand dropped down and She started to drift off to sleep again.

"I told You Trace only You can bring Her back, and You did." and the Ubar looked at Rayne and gave a soft smile. "Welcome Back Rayne" He said as They all looked on watching Her fighting it. She groaned and turned to look at Her Ubar as She pushed Herself up on one elbow.

The Ubar started to hand Trace the goblet, but before He was able to give it, Trace noticed the stone over on the floor near the hearth and moving swiftly grabbed it up and moved back to where He had been next to Rayne, beside His Ubar where He then took the goblet. His hand which held the odd blue stone moved over to Her's and He slipped the stone into Her palm and closed Her fingers around it.

There was nothing left in the goblet, all the potion was gone. It only worked in a high dose. Trace was puzzled by this because He had thought His Ubar had wanted Him to drink the rest of the potion as a way to exchange His life for that of His beloved Rayne, but there was none left.

Rayne looked at Trace and tried to smile as She closed Her hand around His and what He has just put in Her hand. He closed His eyes and thanked the Fates and Destinies for Her, and then opened His eyes again and stared at Her in awe as tears formed in Her eyes. He then pulled Her lovingly to Him and She feeling His strong arms around Her leaned into Him. He held Her tightly feeling Their hearts beating as One again.

He gently pulled away from Her and lifted Her hand up in front of Them and unbent Her fingers as She first watched Him and then looked into Her hand, but raised Her eyes to Him again as He began to speak.

'The blue stone resting in Your palm, do You know what this is?' He asked and as She shook Her hand not having any idea whatsoever He continued, 'That is the last shiny thing to catch My eye as I followed Your Heartbeat back home.' She looked back at Him and smiled softly at Him. 'Now You will keep this forever with You, and I will always be with You; even when I'm not.'

Closing Her eyes, She let Her tears fall, and She made a promise that would end up being one of the most important that She would ever make in Her life.

"Yes Trace, I will always keep it with Me."
