Operation Kirkland Part 2 - The Raffle and Custom Bonus Tapes

Okay ST fans,
are you up for yet another Apolo-inspired
fundraising effort? We hope so! They come at you kind of fast and furious
these days, don’t they?
Sort of like that
crazy sport Apolo so loves.....
This one is a chance to make a direct impact
on a family close to Apolo’s heart. It
is going to benefit Cody Kirkland. For
Cody’s update, see the August 14th Ohno Zone post about Operation Kirkland Part 1. Why Cody?
Well, he rocks. Why now? A few good ideas came together at the right
time, with the Pediatric Heart Transplant Foundation being the catalyst.
The goods: As a “Cody’s Fund” donation incentive, we
will raffle off (on VHS tape) some fan-filmed video of an Apolo appearance
& competition. This is amateur
video, extreeeemely amateur in spots – sorry! Some of the camera work may make you a bit queasy, but he’s just
so darn cute anyway! Besides, what you
get is exclusive, like-you-were-actually-there
footage from the October 2002 Montreal Can Am. Also, to sweeten the pot we’ve thrown in the
complete stage interview from last September’s Detroit Rite Aid Health &
Beauty Expo – definitely collectible!
As
if that weren’t enough, also included are never-shown-in-the-US
racing highlights from the December 2002 Bormio World Cup, plus some all
time favorites from the 2002 Winter Olympics.
But
wait, there's more! We're also offering 3
bonus prizes consisting of 2 custom bonus tapes and
1 Olympic beret signed by Apolo!
And to top it all
off, ~drum roll,
please~ when informed last
March of the upcoming fundraiser for Cody, Apolo enthusiastically agreed to
sign each video cover himself.

The
ever-necessary “Fine Print”

Upon
receipt of donations qualifying for raffle tickets, raffle ticket numbers will
be assigned & emailed to you.
·
If you send
in less than $30 the first time, then later send in more to exceed $30 total,
you can ask to be entered in the drawing for the bonus tapes at the time you
send in the additional donation.
·
Similarly,
if you send in less than $50 the first time, then later send in more to exceed
$50 total, you can ask to be entered in the drawing for the Apolo-signed beret
at the time you send in the additional donation.
·
3
raffle winners, 2 bonus tape winners and 1 beret winner will be drawn by a
non-partisan Pediatric Heart Transplant Foundation volunteer.
·
If your
name is drawn, you win one copy of the raffle tape. You are not eligible to win remaining copies. A winner who donated $30 or more is still
eligible for the bonus tapes drawing. A winner who donated $50 or more is
still eligible for the bonus tapes drawing AND the beret drawing.
·
The 3
raffle tapes, the bonus tapes and the beret are only available as raffle
prizes. Not available for purchase or
trading.
·
All
prizes will be mailed out after winners’ checks have cleared.
·
As a winner of the tape (or bonus tape) you agree not to
duplicate, copy, digitize or otherwise distribute the footage contained
on these tapes.

The Raffle Team is committed to providing the highest quality
prize tapes possible, but please understand we are limited to the quality of
home taping on consumer-level equipment (not professional equipment).
