Even though I've graduated from Hogwarts and I still have until September when I leave for Durmstrang graduate school, there is still nothing to do here. I can't even listen to the prisoners scream, because Uncle Julian and Aunt Maddie put a Permanent Silence Charm around the house.
Last night, Lucius Malfoy sent an owl asking us if we'd like to come to dinner at the Malfoy manor next week, because he has some business to discuss with Uncle Julian. I immediately groaned, but Uncle Julian and Aunt Maddie had no choice but to accept. You can't just turn down someone like Lucius Malfoy. It would be a disaster.
Anyway, today I think I will clean my room and try to finish writing all of the thank you notes to the people who have sent me presents for my Hogwarts graduation. My owl is going to be kept busy for a while.

Greetings from Azkaban Island. Ever since Hogwarts let out, I've been dreading coming back home, for obvious reasons. After all, who would want to live here?
My godmother, Professor Wilder, suggested that I start a journal to keep me busy and help manage my time. I took her up on the offer, and Alisonia Nowicki has been overly generous...she said I could share her account with Angelfire, because she hardly ever uses it anyway. Gosh, I'm lucky I have friends like her.
Anyway, here I am. My name is Rebecca Lestrange, and I live on Azkaban Island because my Aunt Maddie and Uncle Julian (whom I live with...my parents are both emtombed in the penitentiary) are the wardens of this place. We are the only human residents of Azkaban Island, but there are loads of other humans that work here. The Ministry of Magic does want a family living here, only because if an emergency should arouse in the middle of the night, like a prisoner comes down with appendicitis or there's a riot or something. I doubt the latter is going to happen, but the former is certainly a possibility.
I am a Hogwarts graduate; I graduated this year. I was a member of the Slytherin house. My best friend in the Slytherin house was Atlantis Nowicki, Alisonia's sister, whom I am still very close to (Alisonia was in Gryffindor.)
Anyway, now you know a little bit of background information about me. I hope to REALLY start writing with my next entry!
