17. Mary Macdonald was born in 1855 in Skye, Scotland. She died of a uterine tumour on 12 Jun 1886 in 1 Beaumont Crescent, Portree, Skye, Scotland.

Mary Macdonald and Roderick MacLennan were married on 9 Mar 1876 in Lonemore, Skye, Scotland. Roderick MacLennan (son of Alexander MacLennan and Mary MacKenzie) was born in 1852 or 1853 in Gairloch, Ross & Cromarty. In 1876 he was a boot boy in Dunvegan, Skye, Scotland, later a coachman (1886) and a postman in Poolewe (1913). Mary Macdonald and Roderick MacLennan had the following children:

57	i.	Alexander MacLennan was born on 8 Dec 1876 in Grishernish, Skye, Scotland.
58	ii.	John MacLennan was born on 13 Jun 1878 in Grishernish, Skye, Scotland. He died during World War I on 22 Aug 1917 in Sorel Le Grand, France. After the death of their mother in 1886, John and his sister Mary went to live with John and Effy Macdonald in Roskhill.
59	iii.	Euphemia MacLennan was born on 12 Dec 1879 in Grishernish, Skye, Scotland.
