23. Hector Macdonald was born on 24 Feb 1866 in Harlosh, Isle of Skye, Scotland. He died of heart failure on 10 Jan 1947 in 3 Fernbank Place, Springburn, Glasgow, Scotland (railway surfaceman). He was buried in Lambhill Cemetery. He was a master tailor, deep sea diver Forth Railway Bridge (1883), salesman of sewing machines (1891) .

Hector Macdonald and Christina MacRae were married on 1 Aug 1889 in Kiltearn, Ross. Christina MacRae (daughter of Kenneth MacRae and Catherine Macrae) was born on 22 Mar 1867 in Farness, Cromarty. She died of broncho pneumonia myocarditis on 21 Sep 1938 in Stobhill Hospital, Springburn. Hector Macdonald and Christina MacRae had the following children:

He was buried in 1917 in Tyne Cot Memorial (panel 136-138) Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. He died on 12 Oct 1917 in Passchendael, Belgium. Joined Lord Lovat’s Scouts, later the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders.
70	v.	Archibald Macdonald was born on 15 Jun 1897 in Smithtown, Culloden, Scotland. He died when he was hit by a train in the tunnel of Falkirk High Station on 27 Mar 1914 in Falkirk, Scotland.
