The town is known for its cotton farming and is renound for having Australia's biggest cotton farm. Landscape : The land is very flat plain country, and thanks to the recent lack of rains, the land is very dry and dusty. This is RED DIRT country. How do you get here : From the Gold Coast. Go through Canungra, Beaudesert, Warwick, Goondiwindi, St. George then to Dirran'. When we first did the trip, we stopped at Warwick, Goondi and St. George, each about 2 hrs distance apart from each other. Cautions : When driving here it is recommended you don't travel at dawn or dusk as this is feeding and grazing times for cattle and kangaroos, and they will do a lot of damage to a car.
