I've set this page up to be able to transfer some pictures.

This is the house from across the road, looking north. This was taken in early September '01, just as we signed the papers to buy the place.

This is Katey and me, with somewhat glazed expressions, just after we'd signed the papers.

This is the house, garage, and barn, looking from across the road.

This is a satellite picture of the place from about ten years ago. For scale, it's about 700' from the driveway to the long pond by way of Varnumville Rd.

The boundaries are (more or less) the old road running north-south on the left side, to the stream that winds it's way from just south of the long field on that road, then east and northeast to the long pond on the right. That pond/stream (Shepardson Brook) crosses Varnumville Rd, and then curves around to the northwest to meet up with the old road again. We have a little more to the west of the old road on the north side of Varnumville Rd.

The house doesn't show up nearly as well as the driveway does. The garden is a 3/4 acre square, just east of the grove of trees across from the driveway. That was our garden last year, and will be again this year. I've plowed up another 2 acres to the east of that, starting about 50' west of the long pond, and extending north to Varnumville Rd on it's NW corner. That will be in cover crops this summer, and then in market garden in '04. I'll probably plow up another 2 acre section for use in '05.
