    Apply for a Grant

To maintain flexibility and be responsive to community needs, the California Community Foundation makes grants through a series of initiatives.

Each of these initiatives has its own specific guidelines, but all fall under the umbrella of our general grant guidelines:

o

Improving early academic achievement -focusing specifically on preschool through eighth grade.

o

Revitalizing neighborhoods -to help establish communities where every individual feels they have a stake in the well-being of that community.

o

Strengthening and expanding economic opportunity -to place adults in jobs with a livable wage and to ease their entry into the workforce.

o

Building healthy communities -to ensure the physical and mental strength for individuals to be self-supporting.

Our initiatives vary in total available funds and duration. Each initiative has its own purpose, guidelines and eligibility requirements.
