Upon reaching my new quarters I immediately called up images of all my children and their families, making a scrap-book of my own, I then set about personalizing the space allotted to me, getting used to the changes in technology that had occurred since my abduction. I think the first change I made to my quarters was to change the density of the walls, adding an additional shield against the thoughts around me, and to shield them from myself. I then changed the color scheme to something appealing and bright, with striations of color running throughout, in a faux marble effect. I then looked up each of my crew mates, finding out what they had done with their lives.

During this time I familiarized myself with the layout of the ship, which had been retro fitted and modified from its original design, the engines and propulsion systems undergoing the greatest changes. I met the new crew, getting to know their personalities and their names, learning their life stories one by one and finding out the changes in the greater universe. I learned how the politics had changed, and which factions were still at war with each other. I also met other descendants, who each added more to my personal scrapbook.

I gradually became accustomed to the ship, and on my 32nd 'birthday' we all celebrated, though the cake had two numbers on it, '32' and '2749', one being my physical age, the other being what we found out was my chronological age. When I discovered that, while looking into the history of what had occurred, I laughed heartily and actually told the crew myself, "Okay, now you can call me ancestor, because I just made myself feel ancient." Tybyryous blinked several times when I told him, then chuckled, "why do you think I've encouraged you to try and acclimate yourself with the universe you now inhabit? I knew your age, from the moment you contacted us for rescue," he then looks into my eyes, "do you mind if I ask you a question ancestor?" I shake my head no, "go ahead, I'm sure you've got plenty boiling inside." He seemed to hesitate then murmured, "what now? What do you plan on doing now that you're safe and becoming accustomed to this time period?" I blinked, and then placed my hand to my muzzle, thinking heavily, "I think that it's time for a change, I still love space, but it's time to reacquaint myself with normal time for a time. I've been thinking of settling down for a while now, though recently it's become more concrete. I don't fit in here any more, despite how everyone has been going out of their way to try to make things easier for me." He nodded and looked thoughtful, "have you decided upon a world to settle down upon?" I nodded, "there's a world near here, which can fortuitously use some of the surplus cargo we're carrying, it's down in the charts as 'Furry', and it also has the greatest concentration of anthropomorphic and other types of beings that I've seen in a long time. I feel the need to have a place to settle down for a while." He nods, "you will be missed ancestor, but I cannot stop you."

When I made the announcement to the crew each and every one of them gave me some little keepsake to remember them by, as did I. The celebration when we came into orbit over Furry was tearful but short, each of us saying goodbye in out own ways. Once clear of the star port I contacted the 'wizards' in charge of keeping thing working as smoothly as possible, registering my wish to take up residence on the planet. In what seemed to be a very short time I was granted permission to teleport down to the planet, arriving near a major center of activity, the west corner of the great park. People there were conversing about many different subjects, but one in particular took it upon himself to come over and introduce himself to me, then give me a quick introduction to how things worked on the world. I quickly memorized the rules, which were posted on a nearby bulletin board for ease of perusal. I located a place that allowed people to set up residences in a section of the building, allowing for expansion by the new owner as well.

In my explorations of Furry I encountered many never before encountered species, and many different people, of varying sizes. One of the first locations that I felt comfortable visiting was named 'The Giants' Club', the building itself designed to cater to macroscopic beings of a certain height. Despite the great differences in height I felt more comfortable here than most of the places I had visited so far. Little did I know the changes that would soon be occurring.
