Gretal

(to Greta)
by Lindsey Slayre

Confectioned collections all around

I wonder how much Gretal would eat..

Two little children...a boy, a girl...

another child-bitten house of mine

Lost in the woods they try to eat up my home

Outside...she’s got a strong sweet tooth

Outcries...well where will my things go...

Where will my things go now?

She got her mouth wide open...

and she’s ready to eat you whole

She leaves my house fully broken...She’s a demon

in disguise

While I cry...well I really didn’t think she could

bite through

Solid granite...She bites like a knife

She ate my black cat...

She tried to shove me in the oven when I was

checking the heat

You understand that...

She wants to cook me in a potion...

No one can hear me scream

She gets a house by McDonalds...

The next day...she eats McDonalds

Hansel wants to change her...

I think that he’s right!

Ooh...alone my garden I think up a plan

In very quick time...he would help me

Then we said ...just how many chocolate cupcakes

can you fit

in my oven?

She leans into the oven...

We push her into the stove...

We had such fun!

She ate my black cat...

She tried to shove me in the oven when I was

checking the heat

You understand that...

She wants to cook me in a potion...

No one can hear me scream

She gets a house by McDonalds...

The next day...she eats McDonalds

I wonder how much Gretal would eat

Well I wonder how much Gretal would eat

I wonder how much Gretal would eat

Ooh...She’s got a strong sweet tooth

Oh...well where will my things go...

Where will my things go now?

G’bye, Gretal...
