This website is a resource to assist Macintosh users to play and
enjoy the greatest on-line computer strategy game of all time:

Trade Wars 2002!

In the development of the game from it's beginnings on single-node dial-up BBS systems, to the fast and furious multi-player Internet incarnation it has become, Mac users have been left behind in the creation and development of "client-side" telnet helpers and enhancements. Without them, it is all but impossible to be competitive in the game as it is played today. At last applications are becoming available, mostly as freeware, that allow the Mac player to go head-to-head with the PC power players.


NEWS FLASH! TW Scripter 3 has moved into BETA testing! Some exciting new features under development include:
  • Completely customizable scripting, - create your own automated tasks with Mac's native Applescript language
  • Automated Blue Support - Red player commands Blue support ship by remote control for refurbing and towing.
  • CIM Sweep - continuous on-line scanning of port activity to locate enemy movements.
  • TWX Compatible Database - Allows free exchange of port and map data with teammates using other platforms
  • On-line user support and script exchange from TW Scripter's Home Page

NEWS FLASH! ATTAC announces Macintosh version of ATTAC scripter underway!
 The ATTAC Development Team has announced that ATTAC will be ported to both UNIX/LINUX and Macintosh OS X. No date has been set for the release. Stay tuned to this website for updates, or visit the ATTAC HOME PAGE.

This page offers operable versions of four TW2002 helper programs, with more to be added as they become available:

TW Scripter 2.0 - an online scripting and user-defined macro system, similar to the helper programs SWATH and ATTAC for Windows. Works with OS 7.1 and higher. Freeware.

TW Guide 2.3 and TW Viewer 8.9 - offline game analysers and CIM compatible mappers. Work with OS 6.0.8 and higher. Freeware. (Unsupported)

Black Night - a TCP telnet compatible telecomm program that allows the use of user definable Applescripts, similar to ZOC for MS-DOS/Windows. Works with OS 7.1 and higher. Shareware.

Though TW Guide, TW Viewer and Black Night are unsupported and unlikely to be upgraded, TW Scripter 3.0 is in the works! The new version will, like Black Night, offer user-definable scripting with the Mac's native Applescript language, and will be available in both OS 8/9 and native OS X versions. The goal is to create the "killer app" for TW2002 -- TWS3 will be THE Trade Wars helper to have, combining all the best features of PC helpers with the advnaced technology and ease-of-use of the Macintosh.
