Mac 'The Fighter' Sobie (August 11, 1988 - February 10, 2004)

This is a collection of photos of Mac's battle through 'Round 2' with, as dad (Duane) puts it, this Monster. This site is for all the friends and family that wish they could be there with them, but have to support them from afar. I will update photos as I receive them. We're all pullin' for the guy in the blue shorts, Mac 'The Fighter' Sobie. -Alan Sobie (Fan Club President) The Battle has come to an end with the outcome that nobody wanted. Mackenzie Passed away in his sleep on February 10, 2004. My brother-in-law put it best when he said that courage can be defined as Mackenzie Sobie, and I believe that the same can be said about his entire family. We must now remember the good time as they will help carry us through this tough time. I would like this site to be a tribute to all the good times of our favorite hero Mac 'The Fighter' Sobie, and I would like all of his fans to help out if they wish to do so. A Benefit Social for Mac

• A huge thanks goes out to all of the friends and family that attended to the Benefit Social for Mac, and to those who could not make it but still chose to help out. Duane and Hazel surprized everybody there by flying in all the way from Alberta to make it to the Social.
• There was a wall full of great prizes that were donated by many different people. From friends and family to Businesses who heard about it and couldn't help but donate.
• $11,000 was made before the social had even started, through people giving to a great cause. $15,000 was made at the social alone, because of a huge turn out and all of the great prizes to be won. That is a grand total of $26,000!
• Mac's entire family would once again like to thank everyone who supported this Social in one way or another, even if just in thought. $26,000 will help Mac out greatly. One last time thank you!
