Zero and Sherzog are two friends in their early 20s. They live in the same house in a medium-sized Texas town.

ACT 1 - Sex, Drugs & Used Car Sales/A Recipe for Success?

Shop the King Kong for Used Cars...

Sherzog catches his girlfriend cheating on him with another guy and breaks up with her, much to his own dismay. Depressed, he locks himself in his room. Zero can't stand to see Sherzog depressed and decides to take him on a road trip to Mexico for a weekend of drink and debauchery. However, there is another reason that Zero wants to get away from their hometown for the weekend: a possible money dispute with his hood-connected boss (a used-car salesman and former amateur adult film star) "King Kong Ding Dong" Don Waters.

Armed with money, beers, and bad hangovers the Dynamic Duo (Sherzog & Zero) hit the highway for the trip down to Sand Hill, Mexico. At a gas station along the way, Sherzog is told by Bill Carson, a gas station attendant, to look for the unmarked building next to the A.S. Bar. Sherzog:"What's there?" Bill Carson:"The same thing that has been there since I went 50 years ago I imagine...gold."

ACT 2 - Culture Collisions/A Recipe for Disaster!

Culture collisions...

Upon arriving in Sand Hill, they decide to check into a hotel and then go get something to eat and drink at a local restaurant. While Sherzog becomes intrigued by a beautiful Mexican waitress named Maria Vargas, Zero becomes annoyed by the heckling he gets from local gang leader, Miguel "Badman" Vargas. Miguel leaves finally and the Duo get shitfaced on beers and margaritas after a nice meal of fajitas. They pay and leave but not before Sherzog hits on Maria a little more. Back to the hotel where the Duo hang out at the rundown pool.

After showering and changing, the Duo head to the local casino for some more drinks and gambling. Sherzog gets locked into a game of roulette while Zero finds himself playing well at the poker table against a few elderly Mexicans. After a good while, Zero pulls out of the game with more money than he started with and decides to celebrate with the other elderly Mexicans by paying for the drinks over at a bar of their choice. He leaves Sherzog to his game of roulette, where Sherzog too is encountering a stroke of good luck. Finally, Sherzog cashes in and leaves the casino to find Zero at the bar. Along the way to the bar, Sherzog notices the A.S. Bar, as well as the unmarked building next door. He makes a mental note to pay a visit later to feed his curiosity, and continues on to find Zero a drunken mess along with the other drunk Mexicans. Sherzog, not one to be left behind, tries his best at catching up via a few shots of tequila.

As his intoxicity rises, so does his curiosity in the unmarked building, so Sherzog decides to step out of the bar for 15 minutes to check it out. Sherzog:"Zero won't notice cause he's drunk. He'll be fine by himself for a little bit." Sherzog leaves the bar. Miguel "Badman" Vargas and his friends step in.

The following different actions take place at the same time.
Sherzog leaves the bar & starts walking towards the A.S. Bar. Miguel Vargas enters the bar. Zero and Miguel notice one another.
Sherzog arrives at the A.S. Bar and enters. Zero orders a shot of tequila for everyone in the bar, including "Badman" Vargas and his friends.
Sherzog orders a beer at the A.S. Bar, asks the bartender "What's next door...in the unmarked building?" Bartender doesn't know. Miguel Vargas pours his shot out on the bar, the friends leave theirs on the bar. Everyone else takes their shots.
Sherzog leaves the A.S. Bar, walks next door and finds the entrance. He knocks. After a brief conversation with an unknown woman who speaks through the slide-back hole in the door, Sherzog is let in. The woman who opened the door disappears into a room after saying to find "the last door on the left." Zero shrugs the hostility off and keeps talking and drinking with his newfound Mexican gambling friends. The Gang take their seats at a table.
Making his way down the hallway, Sherzog passes closed doors all the way. Faint moody music plays from the unknown source of a record player. He finds the open door that he assumes was the one the Mystery Woman referred him to. He enters. The room is elaborately decorated, gold colors everywhere, a record player, bottles of unknown liquors, a plate of what appears to be misceallaneous drugs. The door closes behind him. Zero excuses himself from the bar to go take a leak in the bathroom.
Hearing the door close, Sherzog turns around to find a woman standing facing him. It's Maria Vargas. Jackpot...pure gold. Sherzog is speechless. Zero splashes water on his face in the bathroom. He's probably nervous about being alone in a room with a group that wants his head.
Sherzog now understands where he is, what this building is, why Bill Carson said to look for it. The sex is on. Zero opens the door to leave the bathroom. Miguel is standing in his way. Zero tries to get around him but he blocks his path. Zero knows where this is going to go. He looks back into the mirror, almost as if reassuring himself in himself. He flips back around and launches into "Badman" Vargas, taking him to the ground. The fight is on.
It's over as quickly as it began. Maria and Sherzog lie on the bed in the center of the room, Sherzog occasionally sipping his beer from the A.S. Bar. Sherzog: "I wonder if Zero is having as much fun as I just did?" It's over as quickly as it began. Zero got no more than a few good hits in before getting the shit kicked out of him. He lies bloody, drunk, knocked out and robbed in an alley next to the main square.
Maria's shift is over and Sherzog goes back to her house with her. Nature takes its course again. They go to sleep. -

ACT 3 - The End of the Beginning/Death Drives a '72 Chevrolet

Death drives a Chevy...

The following different actions take place at the same time.
Sherzog is awakened by a noise, not sure what. His head pounds and pulsates, punishing him for the drink and drugs intake. Sherzog: "Where in the fuck am I?"His memories return as consciousness does too...he realizes where he is and some of what he did the night before. He drifts back into sleep for what seemed only like a second before being shaken awake by Maria. She's whispering something as there is a banging on the bedroom door. Sherzog hears only words...like a summary ... LEAVE ... WINDOW ... FATHER! Sherzog snaps into reality. Any young man's worst nightmare: the father is knockin at his daughter's bedroom door! Zero still lies bloody, however no longer knocked out. Now he is sleeping in the same location; the alley next to the main square.
