Erin MacKenna Mills

My name is Erin MacKenna Mills. I haven't worked on my page very much in the last few years so it needs a lot of work but you can browse through what I have got finished.

I am just about to finish my 4th year of University. I began my University career at the UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO @ SCARBOROUGH but decided during my first year that I wasn't happy there and applied for transfer to QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY . I am now taking the Special Field LINGUISTICS program and hope to go to teachers' college for FRENCH in Fall 2008.

In high school I enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball and rugby. I still play intramural basketball and volleyball at Queen's and, in 2006, I started coaching the Atom girls' guardsmen basketball team. My first season as a Guardsmen head coach is coming to an end. The Provincials for my Bantam U13 girls' team are in Niagara Falls on April 13-15. I was the co-coach of the Rideau Public School co-ed volleyball team in 2005. I haven't had much involvement with rugby since I graduated highschool but I have seen many family members' games. I played on the Napanee club rugby team last summer but we only had one game. I was working and couldn't play. I ahven't decided whether I will play again this year.

I began playing softball at a very early age from t-ball to the Selby houseleague team. I joined SOFTBALL NAPANEE on the first Squirt Girls' team when I was 12 and have continued to play every year since. Last summer was my third year on the Junior Ladies' team. We are sadly no longer the reigning champions of Tier II Ontario ladies' softball. I play pitcher and first base. I also play for the Queen's University Fastpitch team. The team has been a part of the ONTARIO INTERCOLLEGIATE WOMEN'S FASTPITCH ASSOCIATION for the past four years. I have been a member of the Queen's team for the past three years and plan to return for two more seasons.

In 2003 I went on exchange to Luxembourg. Jenny Linster (my exchange student)is great! Her and her sister came back to Canada for a month a few summers ago and we had a lot of fun. Jenny and I write e-mails back and forth and I hope to see her again soon.

I am currently trying to find a position as an AuPair in a French speaking country for next year. In January 2008, after finishing up my last credits, I want to live with a French-speaking family helping care for their children. Living as a part of a French family will improve my speaking skills as well as give me expereince working with children. I had such a rewarding experience in Luxembourg and can't wait to go back to Europe!

I pretty much like any kind of music. Alternative and country are my favourites. Our Lady Peace is my favourite band and Brad Paisley is my favourite singer. Check out the lyrics to songs from my MP3 player!

I love movies and I'm hooked on several TV shows. Check out Friday Night Lights, Heroes, Prison Break, Supernatural, That '70s Show, and the newest addition: The Black Donnellys.
