Bloomsburg 2001 4-Wheel Truck Jamboree

The Bloomsburg Jamboree is arguably one of the largest and most popular of the east coast truck shows.  This year over 3000 trucks participated in the show.  In the fairgrounds arena, guests enjoyed the obligatory Tough Tuck competitions, monster truck racing, monster tanks, and a rocket-powered truck that burned an unnamed scrap car beyond recognition.  Held at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds in Bloomsburg, PA, admission is $15 adults, $7 children, and $50 if you want to enter your truck (includes tickets for 4 people I think).  As with most truck shows, be drive safely as the local and state police use this weekend as a fundraiser by ticketing every truck and every infraction they possibly can find.

Amanda and I took these pictures Saturday afternoon.  The weather was perfect for a truck show, and we spent almost 10 hours enjoying all there was to see.  There were fewer companies promoting with free handouts this year.  But the fireworks show on Saturday night made up for most shortcomings.  The only gripe I have about the Bloomsburg Jamboree is the Chryslers at Carlisle Show is held the same weekend, so there are not many Dodge participants at the Bloomsburg Jamboree, ESPECIALLY Dakotas.  What you see here is ALL OF THE DAKOTAS PARTICIPATING AT THE BLOOMSBURG JAMBOREE.  I go to this show every year so if people from the Dakota Mailing list or any other Dakota related forum want to get together at the Bloomsburg Jamboree, just email me.  DAKOTA PRIDE AT BLOOMSBURG 2002!!!
