WELCOME TO
MACALISTER LODGE

House to Rent weekly or long term

Holiday Home
Sleeps 11 people

Bring the family and enjoy the animals, aviary birds, plus abundant wildlife in the gardens.
Sit back relax and enjoy hand feeding the wildlife.

Come and enjoy the quiet of the bush... just relax in the gardens or go and sit on the shores of the beautiful Lake Glenmaggie and do some fishing or go for a swim.
Or obtain some bushwalking maps and set out on a walk of your lifetime through some of the nearby pristine bushlands.

Young Charles Macalister (son of Captain Lachlan Macalister) arrived in Sydney in 1833 from Scotland. In 1839 Charles Macalister and another fellow Scot McMillan, Macalister's overseer were instructed to find newer, greener pastures for the cattle. In 1842 he took up land on the opposite bank of the Avon, until 1850 when the lease was taken over by John Foster. .

Macalister Lodge is an excellent base to enjoy the local tours and activities like fishing, water skiing, boating or we can book a visit to the Maffra Sugar Beet Museum, at Macalister Park, or maybe for the more adventurous type a sky dive with Valley View Tandem Skydives. An Overland GOLD Adenture, (one or two day tours and group tours available).

Gateway to the High Country and Alpine National Park. Ideal for bushwalking, four wheel driving and snow skiing during winter.
