Campaign Headquarters

The old campaign dragged to a silent death. That's okay. Here's a brief intro to the new campaign.

Background Information

Kitana, the only survivor of the doomed Circle that worked for the mysterious Organization, has fled to the Southeast. She has been sailing for four months straight just to get to the area near the Lap. She would have gone further, but sailors speak about the rising activity of the Lintha Pirates on the Southern shores. Even worse, an Anathema scare has occured near Chiaroscuro, the City of Glass.

The Wyld Hunt has been called to Chiaroscuro to eliminate the Solar menace. Some said it started in the Lap, others say a village near the Summer Mountains. Regardless, the Hunt rides out of the Lap, and it is of a size no one has seen before. Clearly, something is stirring in the South.

Further to the South, in the Endless Desert. The Dune People, albino cannibals who prey on other traveler's at night are moving. Legends speak they are following one of the old songlines, songs holding old lore from the First Age. This may be true, for they are heading towards the Western Peaks of the Summer Mountains, whose topless peaks are said to hold treasures unknown of this Age.

In Gem, the mining town of opulance, a shortage of firedust is strangeling the market. While they have jewels in plenty, something is not allowing them to harvest the firedust near the Elemental Pole of Fire. Accounts from salvagers say the Fey have come back from the Wyld, spreading chaos with looks.

The Silent Crescent, to the west of the Lap, is no longer silent with deeds. Barbarian tribes are moving east to start a holy war, with an ancient power behind them. Some say it is a Lunar Exalted, others a mysterious race of people. All that is known is few live other their charge and speak of it.

Hell has come to the South... will your Second Breath bring peace to the innocents or cause a revolution that will shake the very pillars of the Realm.

Character Creation

  • 1. You can be one of three types of Exalted: Dragon-Blood, Lunar, or Solar. If Dragon-Blooded, you must come up with why you would work with the Anathema Exalted. This is extremely important, as chances are you will be dropped into a group of Lunars and Solars that your main religion teaches to be devils.
  • 2. No Essence may be over 3 to begin with. This is to keep the power level at the beginning low.
  • 3. Artifacts are going to be limited for this game. No weapon artifact of orichalcum, starmetal, soulsteel, and moonsilver may be over rank 1. No orichalcum, starmetal, soulsteel, or moonsilver armor will be allowed at character creation. Other artifacts of the Magical Metals may be at any rank. Obviously, weapons and armor made out of Jade will be allowed at any level. For you new people, we will explain this during character generation. Don't sweat it yet. This is mostly for Bel and Kurt who will be making their new characters soon.
  • Suggested skills needed for this campaign: Athletics (You are near a lot of water... that should tell you a bit) and Sail (see previous comment).
  • Suggested charms for this campaign: Medicine charms, Ox Body Technique, and defensive charms (but really, that's needed in every campaign).
  • Other suggestions from the Storyteller (thats Gamemaster to you new folk)... Charm Combos.... they're good.
