WHEN THERE'S NO MORE ROOM IN HELL, THE DEAD WILL WALK THE EARTH

So, how come I am a dead fan? Well, it all started on a rainy day when I was travelling home from school on the bus. A friend of mine asked me if I was watching 'Night of the Living Dead' on Saturday and, having only watched Lucio Fulci's dire Zombie , I wasn't really that bothered. I asked him what it was about - "... The one where zombies raid that house." Anyway, Saturday came and as I wasn't doing anything at the time, I decided to watch it. I was gobsmacked. It was one of the only films I had ever seen that genuinely sucked me into the action, and I found that I simply could not turn away.
Impressed, I grabbed the TV pages the next day to see if there were other zombie movies on. Next week: Dawn of the Dead . I had no doubts about watching this one. A week later, I stayed up till the early hours of the morning waiting for this movie, wondering what surprises it would bring.

Initially, I wasn't that impressed with the film. It had dated badly and of the few gore scenes that were left in, many of them seemed fake. I disregarded it and never spoke of it again, until:

Several weeks later, I was looking for a tape to record a TV programme on. Checking through a certain one, I found the recording of Dawn that I made when it was aired on TV. I decided to give it another try, and for some reason, I was absorbed into the film, unable to take my eyes away from it. I wondered why I didn't feel like this when I first watched it, until in the end I just put it down to lack of sleep.

I later visited numerous websites on the film and eventually bought a copy of the Directors Cut 3 months later. The rest is history. I spent £200 on a DVD player just so that I could watch the film in a better format, wrote reviews for it, started collecting Memorabilia and built this here website. Dawn is without doubt the most powerful, involving film I have ever seen and, although it will never make it as my favourite film of all time (that goes to T2), it will never fail to entertain me.

It is my sheer admiration of Dawn of the Dead that led to the creation of Absolutely Dead, or Call of the Zombie as it was previously known. I think it's fantastic that there is still such a massive fanbase out there and I am happy that I can offer you the chance to experience Dawn in a different way.

I hope you enjoy yourself as much as I did building it, so drop me a line to let me know!
