Cotton produced by Peruvian farmers.They typically have small plots of land of around 3-4 hectares, grouped together in small co-operatives.

They are supported in their work by a Peruvian NGO, who give them technical assistance and other invaluable support. Their cotton is bought at a guaranteed generous fixed price.

Organic cotton cultivation is slightly more labour intensive, but there are major health benefits for the farmers and their families.

Unusually for Peru, the factory used is run by women. Their employment conditions are more enlightened than most other factories in developing nations.

CRYSTAL SPRAY

The Tawas Crystal are the only manufactures of a Refillable Spray:a 100ml pump action spray bottle filled with actual pieces of Tawas Crystal and Purified Water. When the bottle is half used it is simply topped up with cooled boiled water. This procedure is repeated until all the crystal pieces have dissolved - usually around 10 months.

The Tawas Crystal is 100% mineral salt: Ammon Alum, which by its large molecular structure is unable to penetrate the cell wall and therefore is not absorbed by the body.

The Alum ( Mineral Salt) Crystal actually neutralises the bacteria which causes body odour when sweat comes into contact with the skin.

When applied to wet skin, a thin layer of the Crystal is left behind, invisible and perfume free it will continue to work all day or until it is washed away.
