About us
Britisheco.com was registered in Jan 2000 during a quick lunch break during my time as a copywriter at Lastminute.com. I envisaged it to be a place where people could buy eco friendly products and services. I have a degree in Environmental management and have always had an interest in conservation.
I have always excepted the fact that capitalism rules and its not going to change. However it can become a lot less damaging to the planet if we all demand our capitalism takes into account the environment, fair trade, renewable energy and sustainable development. (PHEW, glad I got that bee out my bonnet)
For the next two years britisheco.com was lost in cyberspace as I owned the name and all there was a blank screen. Following my time at Lastminute.com I worked as a freelance copywriter, due to lack of work I started to look more and more at britisheco.com and in May 2002 I set up this site.
