OBJECTIVE
To find meaningful work with an exciting, open-minded company where I can contribute and excercise my digital arts skills.

PERSONAL INFO
I am 24 years old and moved to Olympia from Spokane, WA in 1996 to go to school at The Evergreen State College. I have just recently moved back to Spokane to find work and enjoy the winter. My interests include abstract animation, visual art, philosophy, cyberculture, (social) psychology, social studies and writing. I am a digital-arts enthusiast seeking out a career in the "new media" field.

EDUCATION
B.A. Degree in Animation from The Evergreen State College Olympia, WA August 2000
These were my most relevant accomplishments at Evergreen:
- Created several experimental, abstract animations for my first animation class
- Created a five-minute audio-visual abstract piece for a full-time, two-quarter long independent learning contract
- Interned as webmaster at Media Island International during my last quarter of school
- Wrote dozens of critical analysis papers and essays (based on social, economic and psychological subjects) during my first 3 years

RELATED EXPERIENCE
Animation student at Evergreen for five quarters (1 & 2/3 academic years)
- Drawing out animated shorts and experiments frame-by-frame
- Thoroughly learned Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Deck 2; used these applications for DV editing, to create effects and to create new audio/animation clips
- Rotoscoping

Media Island International internship June to late August 2000
- Gained experience with the following: Dreamweaver 3, Adobe Go Live 5.0, HTML, Adobe Photoshop 5.5/6
- Organization: Re-organized the MII site; creating special feature areas, new pages for info, archived stories, conveniently organized links in sections
- Team work: weekly meetings with staff, volunteers to plan events, outreach methods, web site management, (along with assigning tasks to each other). Telephone meetings with MII president for web site ideas, suggestions, plans

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Volunteer as Media Island’s webmaster in Olympia, WA (June 2000 to present date). Media Island is a non-profit media organization with an emphasis on critical social and environmental issues.
