Our Colors
- Gold - Otherwise known as the Queen, the golden dragons are the producers of the Weyr. The Weyrwoman rides the Senior Queen who is the “mother” of her Weyr. They range from thirty-two to forty-three meters in length. A Queen is only impressed by female candidates.
- Bronze - The largest dragon next to the Queen and often as not the Weyrleader’s ride. The most likely to catch the Queen, these males look only among the male candidates for their lifemates. The bronzes get from thrity-five and thirty-eight meters long.
- Black - these dragons can be either male or female: Males are officially considered bronzes because bronze metal, over time, becomes black. They are the same size as bronzes but are less numerous and somewhat sucessful in Gold flights. Females are smaller in size being slightly larger than silver dragons. Black males impress male candidates and black females impress female candidates.
- Silver - Considered to be a sort of “litte sister” to the Queens, the silvers are usually the same size as browns if not larger. Often mated by browns, they only impress female candidates.
- Brown - The third largest male and the frequent mate of the silver dragon, browns are the cross between the bronzes strength and the blue’s agility. Brown dragons only impress male candidates.
- Copper - The copper dragons are a litte odd in the fact that, at birth, they choose their gender by the gender of their rider. Copper hatchlings impress HADs (Hears All Dragons) only and are smaller than browns.
- Blue - Blues are one of the smallest males and one of the most agile. Even though all blue dragons are male, they can be impressed by both genders.
- Gray - Gray is considered to be just a washed out blue mutation and is pretty much the same as their blue brothers. They can also be impressed by both genders.
- Green - The smallest females and the most numerous, these dragons impress from both genders.
- Scarlet - A production of the same discoloring virus that produced the silvers, scarlets are the same size of greens and are similar to them in most ways. Scarlets impress both genders.
- Albino - Albino’s are echo’s of the legendry White Ruth. They can be both female and male and both genders can impress any gender of candidate.
- Mutants - Mutants are dragons who are female versions of dragon colors that are usually only males and vice-versa. The mutant catagory also covers any color mixes. Ex. Gold/silver, bronze female.
