Shams sign 16 year old Rob Gillis from wilmington, MA for 2 years at $5/year. General Manager Hank Chase says that "the power righty will give the final touches to the 2003 STBL Champs." Gillis weighs in at about 210 and is somewhere in the ballpark of 5'9". Rob is currently in the 10th grade at the Wilmington High School and has played ball his whole life.
"Gillis will be what we need if we wanna go far in this league, he is not only a good hitter but also a strong fielder. We didnt sign him to be a pitcher but if myself and Reedster are doing bad we might slide him in." Says Chase at a press conference held earlier today.
