Welcome to the Sharon High School Theatre Company Web Page. The theatre
company consists of students from all grades who are committed to excellence
in theatre arts. Students have the opportunity to act, direct,
design, research, and produce plays. Some students enjoy performing in the
musical in the fall and participating in a spring sport. Other students only
work on the festival play, while others contribute their talents in all four
productions. Whether you are a Tom Cruise or a Julie Taymore in the making,
the Sharon High School Theatre Company is a fun place to spend your after
school hours.
It is not an easy extra curricular activity. Rehearsals for a show might run
eight to ten weeks with rehearsals running four days a week. Plus, students
work on the sets and costumes on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays. For the
festival play, all those involved must be available February vacation.
Actors and techies all work together to paint and build sets and sew
costumes. There are no divas in the company . . . only one . . . and that's
the Queen Mother. . .
