Let's say you have talked to someone about God, and the need for salvation. Let's say you pray for that someone's salvation, then after a while, you keep thinking that it'll never happen. Does that mean your lack of Faith in that happening could have an effect on that person's "walk" with God, or lack there of?

example:
This person has said "numerous" times that he would go to Church or to a "singing"; but, when it comes down to the wire he finds a reason he can't go. The person (you) who asked them to go, says to themself, "I knew he wouldn't go".

Is that in a way promoting failure in the one who was asked? Doesn't the way we "feel" that something is gonna happen come across in the way we speak, and act?

And if we are not believing in Faith, why do we bother praying?

I know some people say things like, " If you don't expect something, then you won't be disappointed or hurt when it doesn't happen." Is that the way a Christian should think? I think people who say that sometimes are trying to say not to depend on the fact the person says that they will go, but, to know that God can and will move that person in His time. In other words, don't depend on the person, but, only know God will work in that person's life.

I mean the purpose of the prayer is to believe that the person will be saved. If one doesn't believe, because time continues on without the persons salvation, that they will never come to know Jesus; has the one praying "lost" their faith in God?

These are just some thoughts.......... I heard some people talking about something like this.

God bless you all, and may you always be found, centered upon His will, in the hollow of His hand.

Which is better I wonder, to speak rapidly and quite often... or.... to weigh everything you say, and speak a limited amount?

my opinion: to weigh what one says, would seem better than to say things...... and wish they had never been said>>>>>>>> weighing what one says , would be better than, saying things that make absolutely no sense at all.........

To always be "in a hurry", not always getting half of what you do quite right or to be careful of what you do, and get it right most of the time?

I would rather not have to, as my Momma used to say, "relick my calf"........ :o)....... be right the first time don't have to take something back apart and put in the screw you missed in your rush to "get it done".....

Guess I took her quote a little to seriously, I do triple check myself sometimes to make sure I don't make an error..... probably a little too "overboard"......... then I still mess up........ often.....

There is none perfect, except....... our Lord and Savoir and He is perfection.

just some thoughts.......

God bless us all, and may we always be found, centered upon His will, in the hollow of His hand.

Okay,

I heard a quote today that really is along the lines that I have been thinking lately. It was this.... "I already know now more than I do." Concerning head knowledge of something, but, not fully acting on it...... doing it. Knowing what you should be doing and actually doing it are two different things. Much like a child who knows that they are supposed to always take out the trash every day, but, they don't always do it.... without a reminder. Do we really want God to "remind" us what we are suppossed to be doing?

Is your heart ever heavy for those whom you love, (family and/or friends) who have never repented of their sin, and accepted Jesus as their Lord and savoir?

Is your heart ever heavy for those whom you don't know, maybe even think you don't love, who have never repented and accepted Jesus?

If the answer to either of those questions is no, remember these things....:

Mat 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Mat 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
Mat 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

OUCH............ everytime I read it...... I fall short ..........

Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

That neighbor doesn't necessarily mean those "next door" to you.........

God bless and keep you all in the hollow of His hand.........:)

I was talking with a cousin this morning. We were discussing how some children we knew had been and are being "raised"; and how some just let their children "grow up".

I then thought of this, I am sure it is not original from me. In other words I am sure I have heard something like it before. Anyways, I said some things like this.......

Well, you have to "raise" children, you can not just "let them grow up". and I gave this as an example..... it's like a grape vine, you buy it, plant it and then you nurture it, you fertilize it (feed it), you prune it when it grows out its bounds, you always try to promote new growth and get rid of the old stuff that is hard and tough .... you keep the weeds and briers from growing up in it that would eventually choke it...and as you nurture it, it grows and produces good fruit..... on the other hand.... you buy a grape vine and you plant it......... and you leave it to itself .... it just grows up .... but, if it gets entangled with the briers ..... it is hard to get to the fruit, and not having been pruned and fertilized that fruit may not be good ....... or maybe part of it grows up into a tree, there the fruit is out of everyone's reach and is of no benefit to anyone..... and eventually that vine will choke the tree to death...... or maybe it grows up and just winds around itself going nowhere, and becoming a clump in which weeds start to grow and eventually choke the vine .......... so think about children then........ you have a child, you can either "raise" him/her or you can "let him/her "grow up"....... you can give guidance or just "let 'em figure it out for themselves".

oh this cousin is thinking of having children.... thus the reason for the conversation...

ok.......... now let me get of the soap box.....

May God bless and keep you all
in the shelter of His mighty,
and loving arms, and may
your hearts all be filled
with His sweet peace
and wondrous love.

Went to a "singing" tonight it was really great worship and fellowship. There was mostly congregational singing, from the Heavenly Highways Hymn book. There were some "specials" they too were great, because the words of the songs are "awesome".

Psa 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Psa 48:1 A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

Psa 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

God bless you all and may you always be found, centered upon His will, in the hollow of His hand.

Phi 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Phi 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Phi 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Well, it is a new year. The old one passed by quickly. We had a wonderful New Years at Church last night, and this morning. I do hope that this year is better than last year. Saying that, does not mean in a "material" way; but, in mine and my family's personal relationship ('s) with God. When your personal relationship with God grows stronger, everything in your life is better. Maybe the material things aren't better, but, the peace God gives makes everything better. We are in a "new to us" Church, and I pray for growth in our lives and the lives of all my "new" Church Family. I Pray that we reach out more to our community and bring in those who may be lost and/or those who are hurting. Once in Church, I pray that those who are lost, receive salvation, and those who have strayed, come back into God's fold. I don't necessarily mean that I pray they join the Church there, but that they find a Church home to worship with fellow Christians in. I pray for a lot in this new year.

God bless you all and may each step you take be one that takes you closer to God.

Phillipians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phillipians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I am going to rename this site from "Just Another Day".... I do not want anyone to think that I meant that in a negative way........ every day that God blesses us with, should never be "just another day".... each day that he gives us we have so many ways to make it a great day....... when we get up each morning ... we need to go to God in prayer, thank Him for giving us another day, and thank Him for the wonderful blessings He has given and will bless us with each day ..... ask God to forgive our sins and shortcomings ... thank Him for being who He is ... pray for those who have asked for us to pray for them ... pray for those who are in need of prayer ... pray for those who are in need of Salvation ... pray for our families, our friends and yes, our enemies, and our brothers and sisters in Christ. Pray God's blessings on the day for you, your family, your friends, and yes for your enemies. Ask God's protection of you, your family, your friends, and your enemies. THEN.... submit yourself to God, and to His leadership throughout the day, then follow in His will throughout the day........
Then read HIS WORD!

so that during the day...... when someone pulls out in front of you while you are driving....... you can not become angry with them and blare your horn at them......... but, continue on, in the peace that God places in your heart......

so that when someone bumps into you at the store, you don't become insulted or angry, but, instead you excuse yourself, and continue on, in the peace that God places in your heart....

so that when someone says something (maybe even on purpose) that would normally offend you or "hurt your feelings", you go on, in the peace that God places in your heart......

so that when you hear people "gossiping" about someone, you can go on and not add to that gossip, nor repeat it, but continue on in the peace that God places in your heart.......

so that when you are "busy" and someone (especially your children) wants your attention for something(which is very important to them), you will "find the time" to stop and look and/or listen .... due to the peace that God places in your heart.....

God bless and keep us all in the hollow of His hand.

Are we where God wants us to be?....... Physically and spiritually? ... Do we all know the "will of God" for our lives? And if and when we know His divine will, are we where God wants us to be? Have we given ourselves totally to His will? Are we ministering for Him in His will, or, are we ministering for Him, because, "it needs doing ( no one else is doing it)"? or because, " I am the only one here qualified to do it? or, I enjoy doing this?
Nothing wrong with enjoying what you do for Christ, but where is that enjoyment coming from? Is it carnal enjoyment (doing it because we like it and we feel good about doing it) or is that enjoyment coming from the desire to edify others and to lift up God and show Him to the world?... to do God's will, and out of love for Him and love for our fellow man?

1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Mar 12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2Co 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

Eph 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
Eph 6:7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
Eph 6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

1Pe 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1Pe 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

God bless all, and may we always be found, centered upon His will, in the hollow of His hand..........:o)

Well, the bread was great........

Today was a great day.....

Bread Machines are not very complicated........ well, the operation of one is not.

Found a great recipe on the internet.... it is just white bread........ but, it is good. Well, ok, we "adapted" the recipe a little bit.

Bread is good, but, man can not live by bread alone... Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Psa 145:14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

Well, the day is almost done.

Thoughts for the day.... Many believe that a woman should not lead music in a Church worship service (I probably would not do it myself). If the song the congregation is singing was written by a woman, wouldn't the congregation be being led by a woman? Not really looking for an answer, just a thought.

Wonder how this bread is gonna turn out........ it is a used breadmaker, and there was not an instruction manual with it........ so......

It has been a good Birthday, even though the loss of lives in the earthquake in Iran, is so terrible, and has saddened me.

God bless, and may His sweet peace and wondrous love, forever dwell in all our hearts.
