Orange Aid is an amazing festival involving hours of live music, good vibes, and free orangeade for everyone. Bring fruit! Conceived in December 2000 by a small group of intense individuals, Orange Aid became reality on August 18, 2001, right down on Cornell's Field, in Hopkinton Massachusetts. The day featured music by local bands Chezwick and Neptune, who performed alternating sets for extensive hours. Over a thousand dollars were raised for the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center, which serves as a resting place for children and adults with disabilities.
Orange Aid has been held thrice as of this time, and it has continued to grow and deliver more exciting music in a citrus fashion. Many bands have been involved in the orange years, and the OA crew is currently in a state of wonderment and deliberation as to further festivities!
