If this is your first visit to the FRG page or your twentieth, welcome! Here you will find all the things we have, as previous newcomers ourselves, found to be important information as you attempt the transition to The Netherlands.
Meetings are held each quarter, usually at Schinnen, as determined by the Company Commander. Everyone is invited, to include children!
We at the FRG want this move to be as simple as possible and will do our best to help you in anyway. Please don't hesitate to contact us if there are any questions or anything that you are not absolutely sure of.

According to the MPs on Schinnen, visiting relatives from the states CAN drive a rental car for up to 90 days with only an American license. If it is a new family, they are NOT permitted to drive until they have taken the driver's course on Schinnen and received their AFNORTH driver's license. Some of the rental car companies "might require" a short driver's crash course on the road signs and other rules for the road. |

Non AFNORTH ID holders can go on all bases. According to the Schinnen MPs, all that is required to get on base is a passport and valid picture ID, and that an AFNORTH ID holder accompany them. AFNORTH MPs say that non AFNORTH ID holders will have to be signed in by an AFNORTH ID holder and exchange their (civ's) ID for a visitor's pass. They must also be accompanied by an AFNORTH ID holder at all times. |
GK rules are they have to have a valid passport and present it to the guard at the gate, but they must be accompanied by an AFNORTH ID holder at all times... At GK up to 6 people can be allowed on base with an AFNORTH ID holder, more than that will have to be specially signed in at the MP station. |
All visiting civilians are asked to have their passports on their persons at all times, unless it's been exchanged for a visitor's pass (they'll call the MP's to get it) |
