We will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at the 8 a.m. service beginning with the Liturgy of the Palms. At the 10 a.m. service, the Liturgy of the Palms will begin in the Parish Hall. All members of the parish who do not have difficulty walking are asked to be in the Parish Hall by 9:45 a.m.
HOLY WEDNESDAY, March 19
Celebration of Holy Eucharist will be at its normal time of 9:30 a.m. in the side Chapel of the church.
MAUNDY THURSDAY, March 20
At 7:30 p.m. we will celebrate the Holy Eucharist in remembrance of its institution by our Lord on the last night he ate this supper with his disciples. This service is the beginning of the Triduum.
VIGIL OF THE RESERVED SACRAMENT
Thurs (3/20) – thru – Fri. (3/21)
GOOD FRIDAY, March 21
At 12 noon, the Church will offer The Good Friday Office and then continue with silent meditation and prayer until 3 p.m.
SATURDAY EVENING EASTER VIGIL AND CANDLELIGHT SERVICE March 22
The 7:30 p.m.. service, with choir, will begin with the kindling of the New Fire, the Procession of the Paschal Candle followed by the sung Exultet, and the scripture recounting the story of salvation. Holy Eucharist will follow.
EASTER SUNDAY, March 23
8 a.m. Rite I
10 a.m. Rite II with choir
From the very first centuries of the Church, Easter Sunday has been the great day to celebrate our salvation and welcome new members into the Church.
**Photo Directory Portrait Session**
Postponed
Yes is it unfortunately true. This is not a drill! It seems the representative from Life Touch, the company that is providing the team of photographers has just informed the Communications Committee that the team originally scheduled to be here this week for our Church, was needed to stay in Pennsylvania due to a cancellation of a parish photo shoot this past weekend because of inclement weather. It is the policy of Life Touch for the photography team to stay and complete the portrait session the following weekend. However, this does not snowball from there (no pun intended). We have a new tentative weekend rescheduled for our session which is April 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Currently we are asking all to consider keeping the same time you had for the rescheduled dates, and we will be contacting all again in the next 2 weeks when we are certain about the date. Life Touch has asked to have the most sincere regret passed along for this unfortunate situation.
