(The Nanny Option uses the term “nanny” as a person employed to care for children in the children’s own home. While The Nanny Option seeks out only high quality caregivers, not all of them are certified as professionally trained nannies.)

We understand and empathize with the concerns parents have about the safety and happiness of their children while in the care of others. In-home childcare offers many benefits to consider:

 • You save time by eliminating drop offs and pick ups.
 • Your children receive more personal attention than in a center with several others.
• Your children have the stability of remaining in the familiar environment of their own home.
• Your children will be exposed to fewer viruses in their own home than in a daycare setting.
• Your children’s illnesses will not prevent them from attending childcare so you take fewer days off of work.
• Your family gets the opportunity to form a lasting relationship with a caring person on whom you can depend.
 • The family’s schedule is more flexible since the nanny can drive them to their various activities.
 • It is easier to monitor the care of your children in your own home.
 • A nanny might be available beyond the typical hours of a center.

Services Provided by The Nanny Option

•Search for qualified nannies compatible with the unique needs of individual families.
•The Nanny Option does not employ nannies. We do the “leg work” of finding experienced nannies for families to choose from. We interview the nannies, verify their professional and personal information, communicate with their references, as well as perform an extremely thorough screening for abuse, neglect, and other criminal history.
•The Nanny Option will provide families with information concerning hiring and employing nannies, including some legal aspects and tax withholdings.
•We provide the nannies with work-related information periodically.
•The Nanny Option will be continually available for support and assistance with childcare issues.

General Procedures

Start early! The search for a great nanny may take some time.
1. Complete the application and send it via fax or mail to The Nanny Option. Please Do Not Staple
2. The search for your nanny begins when we receive your application fee.
3. The representative will meet with you in your own home for a personal consultation. We will assess your unique situation and discuss issues relative to the process.
4. View the applications of pre-screened potential nannies and schedule interviews with those which appeal to you.
5. Offer your proposal to the nanny you wish to hire. Send the signed agreement between the family and nanny with the final payment to The Nanny Option.
6. The Nanny Option will follow up periodically to help ensure satisfaction.
