| Arise for Social Justice is a low-income rights, anti-oppression membership organization in western Massachusetts. Arise was started in 1985 by four women on Welfare who met around a kitchen table and decided to organize and advocate for their Rights. Arise has grown over the years. Currently we have an Economic Justice Committee, an Electoral Committee, a Peace Committee, "The VOICE", a Community Newspaper, and the W.I.S.E. Committee (Women In Support of Each Other). |
| The Arise Economic Justice Committee - works on homelessness and antipoverty issues. |
| The Arise Electoral Committee - works on Electoral Reform, Fair Voting/Voting Rights and other Public Interest issues. |
| The Arise Peace and Justice Committee - works for Peace and Nonviolence to stop Imperialist War and to change society from violence and exploitation to mutual assistance and cooperation. |
| The VOICE Steering Committee - Publishes The VOICE, Springfield's Community Newspaper. |

| Arise moderates the Arise Peace and Solidarity Action List, serving Activists, Advocates and Community Organizers in western Massachusetts and beyond. |
