My FIRST entry!!

This is my first entry, since of course I created the webpage today. I would love to hear from some other people who have also had the surgery. My friend Liz had her surgery yesterday and she's mad at me now because I didn't tell her how bad the pain would be. I really didn't think it was that bad actually. Now, more than two months later, I definately would not have changed anything. I received excellent care and I think I recovered very quickly. I was back to work as a nursing assistant, in three weeks. I am currently down from over 300 pounds (this time last year) to about 220 pounds. I have lost 45 since the actual surgery though. I am in a size 20 pants, which to me is fabulous. I make sure I walk at least a mile every day. I know that I made the right choice, and it wasn't "the easy way out", so I need to work hard if I want great results.
