What is our Company?
Avon Custom Mixing is a 25 year old privately held company dedicated to providing high quality rubber compounds to a wide range of industries. Compounds routinely manufactured include EPDM, EPR, Hypalon, Neoprene, Natural, EVA, Nitrile, SBR, Silicone, etc. Industries served include wire& cable, automotive, custom molding etc.
We employ approximately 30 people, two working shifts. Our current production is roughly 500,000 pounds per month, and our capacity is about 700,000 - 800,000 pounds per month per shift.
We have two # 11 Banburys, one of which is equipped with an on-line extruder/strainer. These Banburys are installed in different buildings with one dedicated to the mixing of of blacks, and the other non-blacks and colors to preclude the possibility of containment. In addition, we have a 3A Banbury, several rubber mills, a roller-die extruder and a two roll calender. Our compounds are provided in either slab or strip form.
Our rubber lab is professionally staffed and equipped with a monsanto rheometer, two mooney viscometers, a Scott tensile tester, assorted heated presses, mixing mills, aging, ovens, precision scales, etc. This lab provides both QA testing and technical support.
Our emphasis at ACMS is on superior quality and responsive customer service. We recently embarked on a more stringent quality improvement program, involving all personnel, designed to bring us completely into compliance with the ISO 9000 series of standards within a reasonable perido of time.
