Thuya-Burl (Tetraclinis Articulata)

BRIAR ROOT 

Synonim of preciousness, elegance and good taste. Since remote times briar root has been appreciated and given its unquestionable importance by connoisseurs. A certain initial apprehension was motivated due to difficulties involved in extracting briar root from the subsoil, where it has been resting for years and where its unique beauty and strenght was being moulded.

The thuya comes from Morocco. The color is golden brown to red, highly figured with small eye clusters of tight burls. Moderately hard and heavy. Aromatic smell. It works well with tools and polishes to a fine luster. It is relatively rare.
