Welcome! My name is Teresa Perry. I am a single mother of five boys. It hasn't been easy raising my children alone, but I learned a long time ago that it really does take a village to raise a child. As we enter the information age, I struggled with the fact that I did not have an email and my children did not have a computer at home to do home work and school reports. This fact puts us at a disadvantage for success. (I know you're probably thinking: Why did I not buy one? Well, I could not afford it!) When I learned about the Technology Goes Home Program I saw it as an opportunity; not just to finally own a computer, but to learn how to use one better. I have to say that the program was great! After receiving my computer, my youngest children have made the honor roll and I have been polishing up my skills. I have a feeling my salary will increase because of this opportunity. Now that the class is over I volunteer assisting the trainer and whenever they need me to speak I make myself available.
