Well it all started in the begining, no not of time but at my burth. I would like to believe that the divine( whatever that may turn out to be) had some great purpose for me. Ok, maybe not great but Please allow me to embelish some. I am a Bar and resturaunt magician, I think my parents would have preferred a doctor or a lawyer but...I guess you can't argue with fate.
Since I was old enought to understand what attention is, I have always wanted to be the center of it. Through stories or jokes or art, I was always looking for a willing audience. Then one day ( I believe i was twelve) a kindly old man(fig.1)  took me to a magic shop in Pennsylvania and preceeeded to perform tricks with coins, cards, sponges, silks...I was amazed, in awe even. We talked for what seemed like hours and just as I left to go home, he tossed me a coin (fig.2) and said,
"that my boy is your key into a world full of wonder..." I thanked him and was on my way.
Over dinner I told my parents how my day had been and without waiting for a response began to perform the coin trick that I had been given. My father's eyes had that " yup, thats my boy up there" look and my mothers lips curled into a smile, they were impressed I could tell. I figured it was a good time to ask for a raise in my allowence for the expenses I would have. They looked at each other, giggled and said " we will see", I had em and they knew it.
Starting with the allowence and then part time jobs and then full time jobs, I acquired a vast collection of magical parafinalia. I delved into books(fig.3) and videos. Using my parents and friends as guinea pigs for the tricks I learned. My mother swears that if she sees one more card trick....Eventually I performed my first show at the magic shop that had started it all. Nervous and shaking I did a fifteen minute routine full of coin and money magic, in front of an audience of about forty people of all ages. The show went well and all involved had a good laugh and a good time.
After that I began to do as many shows as possible...and for about ten dollars a show. During this time I became fond of performing close-up, with the audience not in front of them. I began to work bars and resturaunts about 3 years ago and have found these to be my favorite venues. Also alot more profitable compared to ten dollars a show.
So here I am today, Happy and performing and hosting a web page.I hope that you have enjoyed this brief look into my life as a magician and I look forward to any questions or comments that you may have for me.
