Ingredients: 2 cups yellow corn meal 1 cup white flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 onion, finely chopped 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped (optional) 1 Tbsp. jalapeno pepper, finely chopped 1 egg 1 cup milk 1/2 cup water Preparation: Mix corn meal, flour, salt and baking powder together. Add onion, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, egg, milk and water. Blend well. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot deep oil. Cook until golden. Drain on paper towels.
