Cheese Scones Ingredients: 2 cups all purpose flour 2 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 egg 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup vegetable oil 3 Tbsp. milk Preparation: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Grease baking sheet. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Stir in cheese. In another bowl, combine egg, sour cream, oil, and milk. Stir into dry ingredients until just moistened. Turn onto a floured surface, and knead gently 10-12 times. Gently pat out to 1/3 inch thickness. Cut with a 3 inch round cutter. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Makes approximately 12 scones.
