peppery barbecued ribs

4 lbs. spareribs, cut into 2-rib pieces
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder 4 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. red pepper 2 cups water
salt to taste 1/3 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. black pepper 1 cup lemon juice

Place spareribs on rack in shallow roasting pan. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes, turning once; drain. Combine seasonings and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes; remove from heat. Stir in sugar and lemon juice. Place ribs on grill 4 inches above hot coals. Brush with half the sauce. Grill for 10 minutes. Turn ribs over and brush with remaining sauce. Grill for 10 minutes longer or until glazed and cooked through. ENJOY
