The Story

Sublime started in Long Beach in 1988.

In 1992, the band founded their own label, Skunk Records, and put out their debut, 40 Oz. to Freedom. This sold thousands of copies.

Two years later, they released Robbin' the Hood. They then went on tour with Firehose, the Melvins, the Ramones, No Doubt, Butthole Surfers and the Ziggens.

After eight years they put together "Sublime", a self-titled release. The album contained the breakthrough "What I Got". Tragically, on the night of the album's release, Brad died of a heroin overdose.

In 1997, Sublime released Second-Hand Smoke. This contained demos and unreleased tracks. This came out on MCA. Finally, Bradley Nowell and Friends, a collection of demos and acoustic recordings, hit the shelves in late 1998. This is the Sublime story.
